Estate Planning
"Do I need a Will?" "Does a Will avoid Probate?" "Do I need a
Trust?" "What does a Trust do?" "What is the difference between
a Revocable Trust and an Irrevocable Trust?" "What is a living
will?"
These are just a few common questions clients have asked over
the years at our Estate Planning meetings. Many of these
questions stem from information and advice found on the
internet, talk radio or the news channels. Often, our
clients hear that they must have only one type of plan to
avoid future problems.
At the Davis Law Firm, P.A., we do not use a "cookie cutter" approach to Estate Planning. At your initial meeting, we work with you to identify your goals, needs and expectations. We pay particular attention to incapacity planning --- both financial and health care decisions, as well as the physical and financial care for minor children and the elderly. We will also work with you to identify the proper method for asset and wealth transfers, Elder Law Issues, probate avoidance and estate tax planning. At our meeting, we will show you how the proposed estate plan meets your goals, needs and expectations, and then work with you to execute the best options.
